Duca Wins 1000m at ECAC’s

BOSTON - Senior Paige Duca took home the ECAC crown in the 1000m over the weekend at the ECAC Championships, from March 6-8 at the BU Track and Tennis Center.
Duca, who won both the prelims and final, ran a time of 2:46.61 to win the event. Katherine DeLoreto also qualified for the final, placing seventh with a time of 2:53.51.
BC placed two in the top four in the 3000m, as Isabelle Kennedy (9:25.15) finished in second and Fian Sullivan Sweeney (9:29.79) finished fourth.
Julia Lyons hit a mark of 5.78m (18-11.75) in the long jump to finish in fifth.
The women's 4x800m relay of Maureen Lewin, Anna Harmon, Mitchell and Duca went on to win the event with a time of 8:58.27.
