Eagles Earn National Respect

Boston College received votes in today's AP poll.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team has received its fair share of attention this month.
The Eagles are on the radar after advancing to the ACC Semifinal in the tournament this past weekend. BC cracked the polls as it is now receiving votes in the latest AP Women's Basketball Poll that was released today. The Coaches Poll will be released tomorrow.
Boston College was picked to finished 13th in the ACC prior to the start of the season. The Eagles crushed the low expectations with a 20-12 overall record and a record setting 11-7 conference mark. The 20 wins are the most for the Eagles since the 2010-11 team went 20-13. The 11 ACC wins is a new program record since joining the ACC in 2006.
The last time BC received votes in a poll was Nov. 16, 2011 in the USA Today Poll. The last time BC was ranked was in the 2010-11 season. The Eagles were 25th in the USA Today Poll on Dec. 27 and 24th in the AP Poll Dec. 20. The Eagles highest rank was 13th by both polls in the 2004-05 season.
Boston College awaits the selection show on Monday, March 16 (7 p.m.) The bracket will be revealed at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
