
Emma Guy Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

Guy picks up weekly ACC honor
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior Emma Guy was named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week along with North Carolina's Janelle Bailey as announced by the league today.
ACC women's basketball weekly awards are voted on by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel.
Guy averaged 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game to help lead Boston College to a perfect 2-0 week.
The senior forward led BC to a road win at No. 14 Florida State with a team-high 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor. It was BC's first win against a ranked opponent since 2015 and first versus FSU since 2010.
The Penfield, New York, native followed that performance with her third double-double of the season against Wake Forest. Guy scored a game-high 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
For the week, Guy scored 41 points, shot 69 percent from the floor (20-of-29) and pulled down 17 rebounds, including nine offensive boards. Additionally, she became the 27th player in BC history to surpass 1,000 career points.
Bailey put together a pair of 20-point performances to lead North Carolina to home wins against Virginia and Clemson.
The Eagles return to action on Thursday night as they host Syracuse at 7 p.m. The game can be viewed on the ACC Network.
