Future Eagle O’Mahony Named to Republic of Ireland National Team

Future Boston College women’s soccer player Éabha O’Mahony has been named to the Republic of Ireland women’s national team ahead of a 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championship qualifying match against Germany
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Future Boston College women's soccer player Éabha O'Mahony has been named to the Republic of Ireland women's national team ahead of a 2022 UEFA Women's European Championship qualifying match against Germany on Tuesday.
O'Mahony, who has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Eagles in the fall, has been a member of the senior women's national team since she was 15, making her debut in a friendly against the U.S. in August 2019. Additionally, O'Mahony has played for her country's youth national teams in the UEFA qualifiers, captaining the 2018-19 Under-17 squad. In 2017, she was a member of the U-17 team that reached the UEFA finals.
Ireland currently has 13 points to sit in second place in Group I behind Germany with 21 points. Kick off is set for 12 p.m. ET st Tallaght Stadium in Dublin.
