Women's Basketball Holds Annual Media Day

BC met with reporters via Zoom to preview the upcoming season

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team held its annual media day virtually on Monday. Head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee along with junior Preseason All-ACC selection Taylor Soule, junior Marnelle Garraud, junior Makayla Dickens and junior Cameron Swartz met with the Boston media to preview the upcoming 2020-21 season for the Eagles.

Bernabei-McNamee begins her third season at the Heights after a breakout campaign a season ago. The 2019-20 ACC Coach of the Year, she led the Eagles to a program-record 11 conference wins and a 20-12 overall record last season. The Eagles' sixth seeding in the ACC Tournament was the best since BC joined the conference for the 2005-06 season.

BC set a program record with five conference road wins and won five consecutive ACC games for the first time since 2005-06 last year. The Eagles' regular-season slate was highlighted by an upset win at No. 14 Florida State, which was the program's first ranked win since 2015.
