Eagles to play 20-game league schedule and appear on NESN for first four games
BOSTON – Hockey East announced a 20-game conference-only schedule for the 2020-21 season on Wednesday afternoon and released the league's TV schedule in partnership with NESN through New Year's.
Boston College will appear on NESN five times during the 2020 portion of its schedule, including each of its opening four games. The Eagles begin their 99th season of men's hockey on Friday, Nov. 20 against New Hampshire at Kelley Rink with a 7 p.m. faceoff.
Hockey East will once again partner with NESN and ViacomCBS Digital to provide fans across the world the opportunity to view every single Hockey East game in the 2020-21 season. In addition to the NESN slate, all games will be made available to fans for free on one of ViacomCBS Digital's platforms. How-To-Watch information as well as specific game times will be announced in the coming days.
After concluding its home-and-home with UNH on Saturday, Nov. 21 in Durham on NESN, BC will face Providence, UMass Lowell and UConn in home-and-home series to conclude the first semester. In addition to their 12 league games after the holiday break, the Eagles are tentatively scheduled to play UNH, Boston University and Providence in two-game non-conference series for a projected total of 26 contests.
These six games are scheduled for three of the final five weekends of regular season play for all schools and are designated as Flex Weekends. These Flex Weekend contests are tentative and opponents may be adjusted in order to maintain a competitively balanced schedule for each team. If games are postponed during the regular season, these Flex Weekend games will be rescheduled with those postponed games. Any games played during Flex Weekends will not count toward the Army ROTC Hockey East Standings.
2020-21 Boston College home games at Conte Forum will be held without fans as a result of COVID-19.
