Kristie Mewis Named to U.S. Soccer Training Camp Roster

BC women’s soccer alumna Kristie Mewis has been invited to the U.S. Women’s National Team October Training Camp, as announced today by U.S. Soccer.

CHICAGO – Boston College women's soccer alumna Kristie Mewis has been invited to the U.S. Women's National Team October Training Camp, as announced today by U.S. Soccer.

The 2013 graduate is one of seven midfielders named to the 27-player roster for the 11-day training camp, the USA's first event in seven months. The camp will run from Oct. 18-28 in Commerce City, Colo.

Mewis, who also attended a national team camp last December, has 15 caps and one goal for the senior national team. The Hanson, Mass. native currently plays for the Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League, helping the team to the 2020 Challenge Cup title this summer. The team is currently playing in the NWSL Fall Series, with Mewis recording one goal and three assists in the team's 4-1 win over North Carolina this past weekend.

In her time on the Heights, Mewis recorded 116 points in 89 games. The three-time Hermann Trophy semifinalist tallied 39 goals and 38 assists as an Eagle.
