October 01, 2020 | Women's Soccer
The Boston College women's soccer team dropped the first game of 2020 on the road.
NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Boston College women's soccer team opened up its eight-game ACC schedule on Thursday night at Notre Dame, falling by a score of 2-0 on the road.
The Fighting Irish jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute and then doubled it 20 minutes later. Goalkeeper Allie Augur made six saves in the first half for BC – and would go on to finish with a career-high of eight – to send the game into the break at a 2-0 score.
Augur made two key saves again in the second half to keep BC in striking distance while captain Jenna Bike did well to get two looks on target. Despite BC's second half step up, Notre Dame was able to keep the Eagles at bay and hang on for the 2-0 win.
