
Eagles Host Holy Cross on Friday Night

The Eagles and Crusaders will close out the regular season series with a 6 p.m. game at Kelley Rink.

This marks the third meeting this season between the Eagles and Crusaders, with BC taking both of the previous contests. The Eagles won 6-0 in Worcester back on Oct. 3 and earned a 5-1 win at home on Oct. 25. The Eagles are coming off a weekend split with Providence, winning 2-1 in overtime on Friday at home before falling in Providence on Saturday, 5-2. Meanwhile, the Crusaders dropped two games to New Hampshire last weekend, 3-0 on the road and 5-2 at home.

After Friday's game, Boston College will turn its focus to the first round of the Beanpot. The Eagles will face Boston University on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in an 8 p.m. game at the Walter Brown Arena.

• Kelly Browne leads the Eagles with a career-high 30 points on 10 goals and a career-best 20 assists while sitting second in the nation with 345 face-off wins.
• Delaney Belinskas has a team-high 15 goals for BC while Bilka is second in points with 29 (12-17-29).

• In goal, Jada Brenon has played nearly 82% of the team's minutes, posting a .914 save percentage, 3.22 goals against average and two shutouts to go with her 3-17-3 record.

• The teams met back on Oct. 3 in Worcester with the Eagles skating to a 6-0 win at the Hart Center ... Hannah Bilka had four goals in that game, including a short-handed goal, a power-play goal and the game-winning goal, while Olivia Finocchiaro (1-3-4) and Kelly Browne (0-4-4) each had four-point outings as well.
• In BC's 5-1 win on Oct. 25, five different Eagles scored and 11 different Eagles had points.

ABOUT LAST WEEKEND
• The Eagles are coming off a weekend split with Providence, winning 2-1 in overtime on Friday at home before falling on the road, 5-2.
• Lindsay Agnew opened the scoring late in the first period before Providence tied things up in the second ... Jillian Fey then potted her first goal of the season and first career game-winning goal just over a minute into overtime for a 2-1 win ... Maddy McArthur made 26 saves for BC while Sandra Abstreiter had 18 stops for Providence.
• The Eagles were held without a power-play opportunity for the first time since Feb. 17, 2018 at Maine while the Friars went 0-for-2.
• On Saturday, Providence twice responded to first-period BC goals and then skated to a 5-2 win ... Alexie Guay and Hannah Bilka each picked up two assists each in the loss.
COMEBACK AGAINST THE CATAMOUNTS
• Savannah Norcross scored her fourth game-winning goal of the year with 1:54 to go in the third period on Jan. 17 to complete BC's two-goal comeback for a 7-5 win over Vermont.
• It was BC's first two-goal comeback win this season and the team's first win when trailing after the first period since Dec. 2, 2017, in a 4-2 win at Boston University (0-13-0 over that stretch).
• Delaney Belinskas (3-1-4) and Kelly Browne (1-3-4) each had four point outings while Hannah Bilka (1-2-3) tallied three points and 10 total Eagles found the scoresheet ... Kelly Pickreign made 21 saves for the Eagles, who outshot the Catamounts, 34-26.
• Belinskas became the 23rd player in program history to join the 40 goals, 40 assists club ... it also marked her fourth multi-goal game of the season, her third career hat trick and her third career four-point game. Â
• Browne's four-point night was her third of the season ... it was her fifth career multi-assist game and 12th career multi-point game.
• Bilka's three-point night marked her eighth career multi-point game.

SHORT HANDED? NOT A PROBLEM
• Boston College is tied for the national lead in short-handed goals with Northeastern with six.
• Delaney Belinskas has potted three short-handed goals, which is tied for second in the nation.
• BC is tied with Colgate for first in the nation with four different players with short-handed goals in Belinskas, Lindsay Agnew, Hannah Bilka and Kelly Browne.
• Twice this season the Eagles have scored two short-handed goals in a game, doing it at Holy Cross on Oct. 3, 2019 and against Minnesota on Nov. 29, 2019.
