
Six Selected for All-ACC Field Hockey Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Six Boston College field hockey student-athletes were selected to the 2019 All-ACC Field Hockey Academic Team, as announced by the ACC on Wednesday. Selected for the team were Sky Caron, Sarah Dwyer, Jaime Natale, Charlotte von Huelsen, Elizabeth Warner and Brigid Wood.

Honorees named to the All-ACC Academic Team must have earned a 3.0 GPA in their previous semester as well as a cumulative 3.0 GPA over their career.

Caron, a sophomore management and leadership major, was selected to the All-ACC second team and NFHCA All-Northeast Region first team this year. She was a centerpiece of the Eagle's defense this season, starting all 23 games with four goals and six assists for 13 points. A native of Hampton, New Hampshire, Caron tallied an assist in all three NCAA tournament games this season.

Dwyer has been selected to the all-academic team for the second-straight year. A communications major, she served as a team captain, making 15 starts and amassing an 11-4 record. She posted a 1.13 goals against average, which is good for the third-best in a single season at BC. Dwyer was named to the NFHCA All-America first team, NFHCA All-Northeast Region first team and the ACC All-Tournament team.

Natale, a communications major, was named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region first team and the ACC All-Tournament team. Coming from Media, Pennsylvania, she started all 23 games, scoring four goals and setting career-highs in assists (5) and points (13).

Von Huelsen just completed her first season with the Eagles, totaling 13 points on five goals and three assists. A native of Muelhein an Der Ruhr, Germany, von Huelsen was named to the NFHCA All-Northeast Region second team. She is a freshman sociology major.

Warner appeared in all 23 games for BC this season, with five goals and three assists for a career-high 13 points. A political science major, Warner scored two goals in the NCAA Tournament, including the game-winner against Northwestern in the first round.

Wood served as a team captain as a senior and started all 23 games for BC. A native of Plains, Pennsylvania, Wood was selected to play in the NFHCA Senior Game. As a senior she scored a career-high four goals and tied her career-high with 10 points. A marketing and operations management major, Wood scored in her final collegiate game against North Carolina in the NCAA Semifinal.
