A WIN OVER LOUISVILLE WOULD . . .
• Move the Eagles to 9-1-1 overall on the year and 2-1-0 in ACC play.
• Bump BC to 4-1-0 in the all-time series against Louisville.
ABOUT LOUISVILLE
• Twenty-second ranked Louisville is coming off a 3-0 win at Syracuse on Friday morning ... three different players scored for the Cardinals in the win while Gabrielle Kouzelos made four saves for the shutout.
• It marked the first ACC win of the season for 8-1-0 (1-1-0 ACC) Louisville after a 3-0 loss to No. 4 UNC in the opener on Sept. 21.
• Emina Ekic leads Louisville in scoring with 14 points on five goals and four assists ... Maisie Whitsett and Delaney Snyder each have three goals and one assist for seven points ... Ekic was named to the ACC All-Preseason squad.
• Kouzelos has started all nine games, sporting a record of 8-1-0 with three shutouts, a .826 save percentage and 0.49 goals against average.
• The Cardinals, who are under the direction of Karen Ferguson-Dayes for the 20th season, were tabbed eighth in the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll.
SERIES HISTORY VS LOUISVILLE
• Boston College has a record of 3-1-0 in the all-time series with Louisville ... the Eagles have a mark of 2-0-0 at home against the Cardinals.
• The teams first met on Oct. 12, 2014, with BC traveling to Louisville and earning a 1-0 win.
• The teams last met on Sept. 17, 2017, with BC topping Louisville 2-0 in Newton ... current Eagle Olivia Vaughn scored in that game, with Kayla Jennings earning an assist.
• All four meetings have featured a shutout by one of the teams ... BC has put up three shutouts to Louisville's one.

• Boston College earned its first ACC win of the season on Thursday night with a 4-0 victory over Miami at the Newton Campus Fields.
• Gaby Carreiro converted a penalty kick exactly one minute into the contest for the eventual game-winning goal.
• Olivia Vaughn scored twice in the second half for her second brace of the season while Sam Smith headed home her team-leading eighth goal of the year late.
• Allie Augur made two saves for her fourth shutout of the season.
• The win moved the Eagles to 12-3-3 all-time against the Hurricanes and 7-0-1 at home.
IT'S WORTH NOTING
• BC was receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches Association Poll and ranked 23rd in the TopDrawerSoccer poll.
• The Eagles have scored the first goal of the game in all 10 contests this season.
• BC has 13 players with at least one point and nine players with at least one goal … four players have scored at least two goals.
• With her goal against Mississippi State on Sept. 15, Olivia Vaughn eclipsed 50 career points ... the senior now has 26 goals and five assists for 57 career points ... Vaughn is BC's active career points leader.
• Riley Lochhead set a new career-high in single-season assists with her fourth of the year in BC's 1-1 tie with Providence on Sept. 12.
• Allie Augur's four shutouts place her second overall among ACC goalkeepers.
• BC's four goals against FSU on Sept. 19 marked the most the Seminoles conceded in a match since a 4-3 loss to Notre Dame on Oct. 19, 2017.
ABOUT HEAD COACH JASON LOWE
• Jason Lowe was named the program's fifth head coach on Jan. 9, 2019.
• Lowe arrived on the Heights after serving on the coaching staff at Wake Forest since 2014, including 2017 and 2018 as associate head coach.
• The Shaker Heights, Ohio native helped the Demon Deacons reach the NCAA tournament Round of 32 in 2017 and the Sweet 16 in 2018.
• Prior to Wake Forest, Lowe served as an assistant coach at Alabama for five seasons and two years at Emory.
• Lowe served as a goalkeeper for the Wake Forest men's soccer team from 1994-97.
• In addition to receiving his bachelor's degree in 1998, Lowe also earned his MBA from Wake Forest in 2002.

• Through the first 10 games of the season, 13 different players have notched at least one point for the Eagles.
• BC has nine different goal scorers on the season and four players with at least two goals.
• The Eagles had 14 total point-getters in the 2018 and 2017 seasons.

• Through the first three games of the 2019 season, Boston College received goals from seven different players and at least one point from 11 different Eagles ... it marked the first time BC had at least seven different goal scorers through the first three games of the season since 2010 ... seven different Eagles found the back of the net through the first three games of that season that ended in the College Cup.
SMITH SCORES
• Freshman Sam Smith is eighth in the ACC with her 17 points.
• The Hanson, Mass. native has scored eight goals and assisted on one other.
• Smith's eight goals tie for third in the ACC.
VALUABLE VAUGHN
• Senior forward Olivia Vaughn is BC's active scoring leader with 57 points on 26 goals and five assists.
• Vaughn recorded a career-high 21 points on a career-best 10 goals and one assist as a junior ... she also recorded a career-high 65 shots.
• She tallied a career-high two assists as a sophomore in 2017.
• The Montclair, N.J. native has played in all 69 of BC's contests since arriving on the Heights.
