Boston College sits in eighth place after the first two rounds of the VCU Invitational.
The Eagles shot 284 in both the morning and afternoon sessions on Monday, good for 8-under par as a team (568).
Only nine strokes separate fifth through eighth place and a total of 12 strokes separates second through eighth place.
Virginia Tech sits atop the leaderboard (553), followed by James Madison (556), Loyola Maryland (557), and host VCU (557).

Individual Results

Christian Cavaliere (140) is tied for 11th place. The senior fired his low round of the season - and the third lowest round of the tournament field - with a second round 66 (-6). He posted a bogey-free round in the afternoon round after posting a score of 74 during the first round.
Nick Cummings is also tied for 11th place (140), as the freshman went under par for both of Monday's rounds. Cummings carded an opening round 69 (-3) and a 1-under par 71 during the second round of play. He birdied three straight holes on the back nine - 16, 17, and 18 - during the first round of action.
Patrick Wu is tied for 29th place (143) at 1-under par. Wu opened with an even-par 72 during the opening round and was 1-under (71) during the afternoon's 18 holes of play. After a bumpy start at the 10th hole, Wu went birdie-eagle-birdie on the 18th, 1st, and 2nd holes to battle back. He had three birdies and two bogeys in the second round.
Kevin Paek is tied for 47th place (147). His best round of the tournament came during the opening round, when he carded a 1-under par 71. Paek shot 76 during the second round of competition. The junior was nearly flawless during the opening round, posting only one bogey to two birdies and 15 pars.
Brandon Kewalramani is tied for 52nd place (148). He opened with an even-par 72 during the first round and carded a second round score of 76. Kewalramani carded five total birdies through his first 36 holes of play.
Ryan Kinkead is competing as an individual and is tied for 65th place (151) through the first two rounds tied for 41st place (230). He shot a 76 in the first round and closed out the day with a second round score of 75.
Loyola's Evan Brown and VCU's Ian Peng are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 7-under (135).
