CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Joey Mizutani and Brent Greenberg have joined the Boston College Athletics Communications staff. Mizutani will be taking on the new role of creative video producer, while Greenberg will serve as one of the two interns for the 2019-20 academic year.
Mizutani comes to the Heights after spending the previous 20 months at Notre Dame, as a motion design and production assistant for Fighting Irish Media. In that role, he led the creative process of video content production for ND's hockey, men's lacrosse, women's soccer, and golf, producing shooting, and editing feature videos for each program. He was nominated for a Chicago/Midwest Emmy award in 2017-18 for outstanding crafts achievement for lighting.
Prior to his work with Notre Dame, Mizutani also worked with the Somerset (N.J.) Patriots baseball club as a video production intern during the summer of 2017. A 2016 graduate of Emerson College with a bachelors degree in studio television production, he was a member of the National Broadcasting Society and worked in several capacities as an undergraduate on The Emerson Channel.
Greenberg joins the BC staff after spending the past academic year as an athletic communications intern at Harvard. With the Crimson, Greenberg served as the primary contact for the men's and women's cross country and track & field teams, men's volleyball, and was the secondary contact for the men's hockey team.
He is a 2018 graduate of Mount Union, earning a bachelors degree as a dual-major in sport business and physical education. A four-year letterwinner in men's lacrosse, Greenberg served as team captain as a senior. During his time at Mount Union, he worked as an intern in the university's sports information office.
Outside of athletics, Greenberg served as the director of communications for Shootout for Soldiers - a charity 24-hour lacrosse game held in various cities throughout the country, benefiting wounded American military members.
