Metzdorf pitches baseball into the 2019 ACC Tournament, Kent helps lacrosse to Final Four

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Dan Metzdorf and graduate student Kenzie Kent have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week for their performances this past week.

Metzdorf helped the baseball team clinch a spot in the 2019 ACC Championship with his performance on the mound Thursday night in a 10-1 win over Notre Dame. The Burlington, Mass. native pitched 7.2 innings of one-run, three-hit baseball in his final home game as an Eagle. Metzdorf, who kept the Fighting Irish off the board for the first five innings, limited the visitors to just 1-for-10 at the plate with a runner on base.

Kent and the lacrosse team advanced to the Final four for the third consecutive year with a 17-12 victory over Princeton on Saturday in the quarterfinals. Playing for the final time at home, the Norwell, Mass. native led the Eagles for the second consecutive game after notching eight points on two goals and six assists while picking up one ground ball.
