The BC rowing team to compete at Clemson, May 17-18.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College rowing team heads to Clemson, S.C. this weekend to compete in the ACC Championship on Lake Hartwell, May 17-18. Friday's preliminary races begin at 5:35 p.m. and Saturday's finals begin at 8:05 a.m. All races will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
In the 2018 ACC Championship, the Eagles' Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four were the top finishing boats for BC; each having won the Petite Finals. Megan Lydon, who returned for a graduate season this year, earned All-ACC Second Team as the five-seat of the Varsity Eight and will this year race in the six-seat of the Third Varsity Eight.
BC, which retained the Irving-Christensen Cup back on April 7, last competed at the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester on May 7. Between those two races, the Eagles raced at the Knecht Cup, April 13-14. Three boats medaled and posted top race times of the season in the finals.
