Doton Announces 2019 Captains

Upcoming seniors Sarah Dwyer and Brigid Wood will lead the field hockey team next season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Head Coach Kelly Doton has announced that Brigid Wood and Sarah Dwyer have been selected to captain the Boston College field hockey team for the 2019 season. The pair has been selected for their leadership on and off the field as voted on by their teammates.
"Congratulations to Brigid and Sarah on being selected by their teammates to become our team captains in 2019," shared Doton. "I know Sarah and Brigid will value the input of their teammates while also working with the coaching staff in doing what is best for the team. It's a great honor for them both".
"Being elected captain to such a great program is an honor. I am lucky to have had such amazing leaders as an underclassman, who have been incredible teammates and role models,"Â added Dwyer. "I am proud to represent BCFH and grateful for the opportunity to help lead this team".Â
"I am really excited for this season and to represent this team. It's a fresh start after losing so many leaders from last season," commented Wood. "I think we have a really great opportunity to build the kind of legacy that we want to leave".
The Eagles have been preparing for 2019 with spring training and games throughout the semester.Â
