Eagles Named NFCHA Academic Honor Squad

The field hockey team posted at least a 3.0 GPA for the eighth consecutive year
GILBERT, Ariz. – The Boston College field hockey team has been named a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team, as announced by the NFHCA on Monday. The honor is awarded to teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher each academic year.
The Eagles have been named a National Academic Team in 12 of the 14 years that the award has been given, including every year since 2011.
The field hockey team wrapped up their 2018 season with a 10-9 record while five Eagles were named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Senior captain Frederique Haverhals headlined the group, reigning in ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition.
