Boston College to Face Clarkson in NCAA Tournament

Eagles will travel to face the Golden Knights in BC's nine consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team has been selected to compete in the 2019 NCAA Women's Hockey Tournament, it was announced by the selection committee on Sunday night. This is the ninth consecutive NCAA tournament for the Eagles and the program's 11th overall.Â

The fifth-seeded Eagles received an at-large bid after finishing as the runner-up in the Hockey East tournament earlier today, and will now be looking to knock off the two-time defending national champion in Clarkson. Clarkson earned the four-seed by way of winning its third consecutive ECAC Hockey Tournament title today with a 4-1 win over Cornell. The Eagles and Golden Knights will meet at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
Ticket prices for the game are $10.00 adults, $6.00 for college students/seniors and $4.00 for children 12-and-under. Children 2-and-under will be admitted free.
BC joins Cornell, Minnesota and Princeton to make up the at-large selections. Postseason conference tournament winners Northeastern (Hockey East), Clarkson (ECAC Hockey), Wisconsin (WCHA), and Syracuse (College Hockey America) all secured automatic berths and round out the tournament field.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to the 2019 Women's Frozen Four, hosted by Quinnipiac University March 22-24 at the People's United Center.
