CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that three Boston College Eagles were among the 52 ACC student-athletes selected as 2019 Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship Award recipients. Zach Allen from football, Asiya Dair of women's tennis and Isabelle Kennedy from women's cross country and track and field were the three BC student-athletes honored as 2019 ACC Postgraduate Scholars.

An All-ACC second-team selection, Allen led BC in tackles-for-loss (15.0) and ranked among the top 10 in school history in sacks and TFLs. The Finance major was rated by Pro Football Focus as the top edge rusher in the ACC and was a semifinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. Allen was named the Connecticut Player of the Year by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and was named a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus.
Â
Kennedy, a graduate student, was the ACC runner-up in cross country in 2016 and qualified individually for the NCAA Championship. Outdoors, the Boulder, Colo. native also competed in the 10,000m run at the 2017 NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round and the 5,000m run at the 2016 East Prelims.

Dair was the Eagles' No. 1 singles player in her four years of competition and was honored as the 2018 ITA Northeast Region Division I Senior Player of the Year. Dair, an Economics major, was a four-time Third Team All-ACC honoree. She was also a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a three-time All-ACC Academic Team member.
Â
The student-athletes will be honored at the annual Cone Health ACC Postgraduate Scholarship Luncheon presented by ESPN on April 10. The Weaver-James-Corrigan Award is named in honor of the late Jim Weaver and Bob James, as well as Gene Corrigan, the first three ACC commissioners.
