Eagles Wrap-Up Competition at ACC Indoor Championships

Emeline Delanis Places Fifth in the 5000M Finals at the ACC Championships
BLACKSBURG, VA. – The women's track and field team competed at the ACC Indoor Championships hosted by Virginia Tech this past weekend.

On the track, Monica Heil placed 22nd in the 400M with a time of 57.43. Teammate Sarah Heckel placed 27th with a time of 59.34.

Two Eagles placed top-18 in the 800M. Gianna Bender took 15th with a time of 2:11.78, while Anna Harmon finished 17th with a time of 2:13.34.

BC showed strong in the 5000M finals, placing four runners in the top-20. Emeline Delanis placed fifth overall with an impressive time of 16:13.46. Fian Sullivan Sweeney placed ninth (16:47.66), Anna Oeser placed 14th (17:05.62), and Kayla Smith placed 19th (17:16.26).Â

Two Eagles placed top-30 in the 3000M. Nicole Clermont finished 20th with a time of 9:44.33. Lauren White placed 29th with a time of 10:01.15.

In the field, Julia Lyons placed ninth overall in the long jump. The junior registered a distance of 5.90 meters. Fellow Eagle Jessica Creedon placed ninth in the pentathlon with 3561 points.

The Eagles are back in action next Friday (Mar. 1) and Saturday (Mar. 2) at the ECAC Championships hosted by Boston University.
