Martinez, Chatman Named Eagles of the Week

Jordan Chatman joined the 1,000-point club while Emme Martinez had eight hits on the weekend.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College men's basketball guard Jordan Chatman and softball third baseman Emme Martinez have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week after their performances this past weekend.
Chatman averaged 13.0 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Eagles. On Sunday, in a 64-57 win over Miami, Chatman poured in a game-high 17 points en route to becoming the 44th member of BC's 1,000-point club. He hit 6-of-11 shots against the Hurricanes, including a mark of 3-for-7 from the perimeter. Chatman was coming off an injury that took him out of Tuesday night's 66-57 win over Pitt, a game in which he had nine points in 22 minutes of action.
Martinez went 8-for-16 at the dish on the weekend, plating five runs in the process. In a 9-7 win over Michigan State on Friday, Martinez was 5-for-6 at the plate and in a 7-6 win on Saturday, the sophomore went 2-for-4 and added a hit in a 7-3 loss to Illinois. The sophomore is now batting .417 on the year with a .500 slugging percentage.
