Eagles Improve to 6-0 Following Road Win at Harvard

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College remained undefeated at 6-0 following a 5-2 road victory over Harvard on Friday night at the Murr Center. The Eagles dropped the doubles point to the Crimson but responded by winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
After dropping the No. 1 and 2 doubles matches 6-3, Yufei Long (6-2, 6-0), Jackie Urbinati (6-4, 6-1), and Dasha Possokhova (6-4, 6-3) set the table with singles victories to put Boston College ahead.
Kylie Wilcox edged Erica Oosterhout from the No. 1 slot 7-5 in the opening set before clinching the match 6-3 in the second set. Natasha Irani also remained unbeaten in singles by defeating Rachel Eason 6-2, 7-5.Â
BC has now defeated four different Ivy League schools during the spring season.
The Eagles open ACC play on Sunday (Feb. 3) when they host 10th-ranked Syracuse on the Heights at 11 a.m.
