Eagles Begin Indoor Season at BU Opener

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's indoor track and field team opens up its 2019-20 campaign at the BU Opener on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.

What to Know
- Ryan Russell enters the meet with a seed time of 34.74 in the 300m where he's the second-best seed. He's familiar with the BU Track and Tennis Center, where he has PR's in the 300m and 200m. Also in the 300m is Richard Webber, who is the fourth seed with a 35.00.
- Marcus Manson is the fourth seed in the 600m with a time of 1:19. He has a PR of 1:23.38 in the event, which he set last year at the same meet. Stephen Windisch also has a seed time of 1:19 in the 600m, where the junior looks to improve on his PR set as a freshman at this meet.
- The Eagles have a pair of jumpers in the top-four seed marks of the triple jump. Avery McKenzie has a seed of 14.92m for the third seed, while Michael Oduro is the fourth seed with a 14.40m.

- Last year Avery McKenzie set his PR in the triple jump with a 14.92m mark. The mark was good for fifth all-time in program history.
- Ben Davies won the 800m with a time of 1:54.21.
- BC placed three runners in the top-eight in the mile, led by Ian Ritchie, who placed fourth with a time of 4:14.64.
- Marcus Manson placed fourth in the 600m with a time of 1:23.88.
