Chukwujekwu Named to All-ACC Second Team

Junior Amaka Chukwujekwu becomes BC's first all-conference honoree since 2015.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College junior Amaka Chukwujekwu has been named to the All-ACC Second Team, as announced by the conference on Monday. Chukwujekwu is the first BC volleyball player to earn all-conference honors since Katty Workman in 2015 and just the fifth selection all-time.
The Laurel, Md. native finished the regular season leading the Eagles in hitting percentage with a .377 while also leading the team on the defensive front, earning credit for 105 block assists and 21 block solos through the season. She topped the team in hitting percentage in 13 matches this season while leading in blocks through 12 contests.
Chukwujekwu finished the season fourth in the conference in hitting percentage, topped with a .591 against Duke on Oct. 4, marking the seventh-best attack clip in a four-set match over the ACC season. She also tallied nine blocks in four sets against Clemson on Sept. 27 to mark the third-best block production in the conference.
The Eagles continue their season with their first-ever postseason bid, taking on Colgate on Dec. 6 in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
