Vaughn Earns United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Regional Honor

The senior earned a spot on the All-East Region Second Team.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Boston College senior forward Olivia Vaughn was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region Second Team, as announced Monday by the organization. Vaughn was one of eight Atlantic Coast Conference players to make one of the four regional academic squads.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to a United Soccer Coaches All-America regional team require a student-athlete to have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and to have started more than 50 percent of all games and be an elite player as supported by playing honors or contributions to the success of her team.

Vaughn led the Eagles with 19 points during the 2019 season, scoring seven goals while assisting on a career-high five. Vaughn's 11 points on four goals and three assists in ACC play tied for fourth overall in the league. The Montclair, N.J. native finished her BC career with 62 points on 26 goals and eight assists, good for 15th all-time in program history. Vaughn played in all 77 of BC's contests over the last four seasons.

The applied psychology and human development major, who has previously been named to the ACC Honor Roll and earned the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement, also earned Third Team All-ACC honors and United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Third-Team honors on the field following her final season on the Heights.
