Govaert, Dillon Named Eagles of the Week

Govaert helped field hockey upset No. 4 Duke, Dillon became the all-time leader in rushing TDs.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior Fusine Govaert and junior AJ Dillon have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

Govaert scored the game-winning goal for the field hockey team in a 1-0 win over No. 4 Duke on Friday night. The win gave BC four ACC wins on the year, a program record. The Rye, N.Y. native took three shots in the game, landing two on frame. She now has career-highs in goals (7), assists (6) and points (20).

Dillon became BC's all-time leader with 35 rushing touchdowns on a 51-yard scamper in the football team's 58-27 win at Syracuse on Saturday. The New London, Conn. native rushed for 242 yards, the ninth-best single-game total in BC history, and finished the game with three touchdowns to up his career to 37 rushing scores. His 242 yards total marked the fourth 200-yard game of his career, and he pushed his career total to 3,983 rushing yards, which moved him to ninth in ACC history. Dillon was named this week's ACC Running Back of the Week.
