Dwyer, Knight Named Eagles of the Week

Sarah Dwyer of field hockey and Spencer Knight of men's hockey have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior Sarah Dwyer and freshman Spencer Knight have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.

Knight stopped 61 of the 62 shots he faced in the men's hockey team's two-game sweep at Vermont. The Darien, Conn. native posted a 34-save shutout in a 3-0 win on Saturday night, his third shutout in 11 starts to begin his career, including 17 stops in the first period. Knight made 27 stops in a 5-1 win on Friday. The rookie netminder pushed his personal winning streak to five, during which he owns a 0.80 goals against average and a .971 save percentage.

Dwyer picked up two wins last week to help the field hockey team advance to its first-ever NCAA tournament final four. Dwyer made seven saves in the 2-1 (5-4 shootout) NCAA quarterfinal win over Louisville on Sunday, including four in overtime. The West Long Branch, N.J. native made four stops in a 2-1 win over Northwestern in Friday's first round. Dwyer is now 11-3-0 on the year with a 0.81 goals against average and .821 save percentage.
