Barkemeyer, Browne Named Eagles of the Week

Barkemeyer set three personal records in the pool, Browne had three points for the women's hockey team.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College freshman Nicole Barkemeyer and sophomore Kelly Browne have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
In a dual meet against Northeastern on Wednesday night, Barkemeyer set three personal records and had two event wins in the 210-90 win for the Eagles. In the 50-yard backstroke portion of the 200-yard medley relay, she swam a 26.65 split. The Morristown, N.J. native then swam a 56.76 to win the 100-yard backstroke and a 2:02.31 in winning the 200-yard backstroke.
Browne had a three-point weekend for the women's hockey team. In a win over Holy Cross on Friday night, the Burlington, Mass. native scored one goal and assisted on the game-winner for her fourth multi-point game of the season. Browne added another assist in a 3-3 tie with Maine on Saturday to extend her point streak to three games. She registered a league-leading 34 face-off wins on the weekend while adding four shots on goal, two blocks and a plus-three rating.
