Govaert Named to U-21 US National Team

The sophomore is set to compete for the U-21 National Team in April
LANCASTER, Pa. -- Sophomore Fusine Govaert of the Boston College field hockey team has been named to the US U-21 Women's National Team, as announced by Team USA Monday afternoon. Emily McCoy '17 was also named to the 2019 Development Team.
Govaert rounded out the 2018 season tied for third on the team with five goals and one assist, totaling 11 points over her second year with the Eagles. The forward/midfield dual-threat helped lead the team to a season-opening win over Quinnipiac (Aug. 24) with two goals and one assist.Â
The sophomore will join the team in preparation for their tour to Germany over April 14-22, where they will face Germany's U-21 Team and Great Britain's U-21 Team. McCoy will take on Scotland's Women's National Team and Belgium's U-21 Team in The Netherlands over April 13-22.
