The swim and dive team looks to continue their new year success
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College swim and dive team has just a quick drive to Medford, Mass. as they are set to take on Tufts this Sunday for a dual-meet. The meet will begin at noon.
Coming off of a successful New Year opening weekend, the Eagles went a perfect 2-0 over Dartmouth and Marist as they closed up their meets in the Flynn Recreation Complex pool. Senior captain Taylor Cortens made an impact in both wins, earning five individual wins and contributing to two first-place relay finishes. His 52.64 finish in the 100-yard individual medley against Dartmouth marked a Boston College record, as the senior now holds 11 different records.
Tufts competes in their first meet of 2019 on Saturday at Wheaton. Most recently, the Jumbos defeated Wesleyan, but fell to WPI and Williams in a quad-meet on Dec. 8.
Following Sunday's contest, the Eagles head to Boston University on Jan. 26.
