Q: What did you do over the summer to prepare for the season?
A: It was challenging because it was my first time having a fulltime job (internship) while preparing for the season. I really worked on my fitness and strength every morning with my trainer before work and then after work I would either have practice or do sessions on my own with the ball. It definitely helped a lot having my sister Jill. We are able to train together and push one another. I also prepared mentally. Coach gave us a book to read which helped a lot. I read other spiritual as well as sports psychological books - meditating and visualizing my future is something that really helps me and I worked on that a great deal this summer.
Q: Did you travel over the summer or have an internship or cool job? What was your summer highlight?
A: Yes, my family and I went to Greece for 10 days to celebrate my parents both turning 50. It was one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been. I worked at WME | IMG under a sports marketing agent, which was an amazing experience. I also worked at UBS in wealth management. My summer highlight was at WME | IMG and I was able to meet Colin Kaepernick, who is one of IMG's clients.
Q: What are your greatest strengths as an athlete?
A: My greatest strength is my competitive nature and leading my teammates. I love close games and playing under pressure. I feel that is when my best self comes through in games. I am also very good in the air, which is a strength I take pride and ownership in.
Q: What is your personal goal for the season?
A: My personal goal is to be the best player I can be on and off the field in order to set an example and lead my team back into the NCAA tournament and make a run.
Q: Did you work on any specific part of your game and did you improve?
A: I really focused on my long balls across the field as well as turning quickly which will help me immensely for this season. I also worked on my cutting because after two ACL surgeries that is something very important to stay on top of and continue to strengthen.
Q: The home opener is 17 days away, what is the teams' mindset and yours as you get ready for the game?
A: Our mindset is winning and teamwork. All of our values are focused around that and I think everyone is excited and ready to work hard to achieve big things this year.
Q: What is your favorite sport to play other than soccer?
A: I love both lacrosse and basketball. I played both growing up in high school and thought about playing lacrosse in college as well. I still play 1-on-1 basketball all the time with my brother.
Q: What other sport would you love to play at BC?
A: I would love to play lacrosse at BC. I played all through high school and my mother was my high school coach.
Q: What would be your dream job?
A: A sports marketing agent, handling top athletes in marketing for endorsements and management purposes
Q: What are you career aspirations after college?
A: I would like to start in banking, either sales and trading or wealth management and then somehow make it over to the sports/entertainment side in endorsements for athletes.
