Tough Loss On the Court For Eagles

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -– Boston College men's tennis dropped a 4-0 decision to Georgia Tech on Wednesday in the opening round of the 2018 ACC Championship.
Due to inclement weather, the match was moved indoors to the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
Three individual matches went unfinished after the Yellow Jackets clinched the victory with four points. Georgia Tech won the doubles point at #3 and #1, respectively. The #2 doubles slot was tied at 3-3 before it was halted.
In singles play, BC dropped straight-set matches at the #3, 5, and 6 positions. Derek Austin and Chris Grasel each took their first set at the #1 and 2 spots before their matches went unfinished in the second set. Kent Mukai forced a third set tiebreaker after taking the second set, 6-3, before his match was stopped.
