Matt Naumec also fired a 1-under par 71 during Friday's opening round, good for a tie for 23rd place. Naumec closed his round with three birdies and five pars. He was 1-under for the par 4 and par 5 holes on the afternoon.
Kevin Paek is tied for 43rd place after an opening round 75 (+3). He played his final 11 holes on Friday at even par and carded four birdies on his round.
