Tough road loss for Eagles, next up at Pittsburgh
The Boston College women's tennis team fell to Virginia Tech, 4-3, on the road Friday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
The Eagles had two victories in singles behind No. 4 Jackie Urbinati and No. 6 Dasha Possokhova. Senior Asiya Dair lost in No. 1 singles in a tough match against Natalie Novotna, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
In doubles Dasha Possokhova and Kylie Wilcox earned a 6-3 win in No. 1 doubles while in No. 3 doubles Asiya Dair and Natasha Irani came away with a win, 6-4.
Boston College will play at Pittsburgh on Sunday at 11 a.m. The road swing will continue the next weekend as the Eagles will play at Miami on Friday, April 6 followed by a Sunday match at FSU ion Tallahassee.
