Eagles Compete in ACC Championships

Both relay teams finished in the top 10
CLEMSON, S.C. – After the third and final day of competition, the Boston College men's track and team field team took 15 place in the indoor ACC Championships in Clemson, S.C. at the Tiger's Indoor Track & Field Complex.

Florida State won the meet with 111 points, followed by Virginia Tech (81 points) and Clemson (76 points). This marks the sixth time in ACC history that one school has swept both the men's and women's ACC Indoor titles, as the Seminoles also won on the women's side. The ACC men's indoor championship is FSU's 11th. Senior Justyn Knight of Syracuse won the Men's Track MVP.

BC Highlights:
- Freshman J'Saun Bastien finished the 200 meter dash in 22.50.
- Junior Michael Saxon crossed the line in the 400 meter dash in 49.64.
- Freshman Michael Hains took 16th place in the 800 meter run, crossing the line in 1:54.32.
- Junior Ian Ritchie finished in the top 30 in the one mile run, besting his seed time by two seconds with a time of 4:15. 92. Sophomore Ryan Scanlon was just two spots behind, crossing the line in 4:16.36.
- Freshman Sean Sullivan took 26th place in the 3000 meter run, finishing the race in 8:32.80.
- The men's 4x400 team of freshmen Max Herrerias, Stephen Windisch, Khalfani Green and Saxon took 10th place in the event with a time of 3:17.19.
- The men's distance medley relay team of Ritchie, Herrerias, Hains and Sullivan also took 10th place at 9:58.56.
- In the field events, sophomore Avery Mckenzie took 14th place in the triple jump with a jump of 14.72 meters.
