Five Eagles Help U.S. Claim Fourth Consecutive Four Nations Title

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan – The five Boston College women's hockey representatives on the U.S. Women's National team helped to defeat Canada, 5-2, and claim its fourth consecutive Four Nations Cup Championship on Saturday night.
Caitrin Lonergan, Cayla Barnes, Megan Keller, Kali Flanagan and Emily Pfalzer '15 earned medals in what was the ninth overall Four Nations Cup title for the country. Flanagan registered an assist in the championship game.
The U.S. went undefeated in the preliminary round to get to the gold medal game, defeating Finland (5-1), Canada (2-1), Sweden (5-1). Lonergan was making her USWNT debut while Barnes and Flanagan were playing in their second Four Nations Cup, Keller her fourth and Pfalzer her fifth.
