Eagles One Week Away From Season Opener

BC opens up at URI on Thursday, Oct. 8
The Boston College women's basketball team opens up the 2018-19 season next week, on Thursday, November 8 at Rhode Island (7 p.m.). The home opener is on Sunday, Nov. 11 as the Eagles host St. Peter's at 4 p.m.
New Head Coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee has five players back from the 2017-18 roster - juniors Emma Guy, Taylor Ortlepp and Georgia Pineau. The two sophomores are Milan Bolden-Morris and Sydney Lowery.
Coach Mac has been working seven freshmen into the mix to prepare them for their first college basketball season. The freshmen class includes guards Jenasae Bishop from Indiana, Marnelle Garraud from Lynn, guard/small forward Lana Hollingsworth from Australia, forward Taylor Soule from New Hampshire and three players from Virginia – center Clara Ford, guard/forward Kate Klimkiewicz and guard Makayla Dickens.
Fans remember BC will hold the annual Field Trip Day against Holy Cross on Thursday, Nov. 15. The game is free to attend for all students K-through-8 and their chaperones. If you are a teacher interested in bringing your class or school, please contact Drew Read at readan@bc.edu or 617-552-0787.
