Gote, Haverhals Named to All-ACC First Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior captains Ymke Rose Gote and Frederique Haverhals have been named to the All-ACC First Team for the 2018 season, as announced by the conference this afternoon. This is the third All-ACC selection for Haverhals and the second for Gote, both having been named to the Second Team in previous years.

The duo of two-time captains have led the Eagles throughout their careers and have been key contributors in the midfield and backfield. This season, Haverhals has recorded nine goals – including a hat trick in the 4-3 comeback rally against California. She is one of just five current ACC student-athletes to have earned All-ACC honors three years in a row. She garnered All-ACC Second Team accolades as a sophomore and junior, as well.

Gote has garnered All-ACC Academic team awards each year of her career and earned All-ACC Second Team honors as a junior. She has been a consistent threat at the midfield position, helping to hold the Eagles' opponents to just 26 total goals over the season.
