Burke runs to fifth at ACCs, Keller named Hockey East Player of the Week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's hockey senior Megan Keller and men's cross country senior Sean Burke have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week following their performances this past weekend.
Â
Keller notched one goal and three assists in a two-win weekend for the Eagles. That point total tied for the national lead among defenders this week and tied for tops overall in Hockey East. Keller had two multi-point outings, tallying a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win at Holy Cross on Friday and then assisting on two goals in BC's 4-1 win at Maine on Sunday. She also registered nine shots on goal, had two blocks and pushed her point streak to five games. Keller was named the Hockey East Player of the Week for her performance as well.
Â
Burke placed fifth overall at the ACC Cross Country Championship on Friday, Oct. 26, the highest-ever placing by an Eagle since the ACC's full expansion. His 8K time of 23:53.2 was the best time recorded by a BC runner on the Franklin Park course and earned Burke his third-straight All-ACC honor. The Eagles placed 12th as a team at the ACC Championship with 353 points.
