Eagles Participate In ACC Women’s Basketball Tipoff

CHARLOTTE, N.C.
Head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee, along with junior forward Emma Guy and sophomore guard Milan Bolden-Morris flew to Charlotte on Tuesday to represent Boston College at the 2018-19 ACC Women's Basketball Tipoff.
This was the first time all three participated in the ACC media day. It was also the first time the event was held in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Sheraton\Le Meridien Charlotte.
The Boston College contingent went through a number of scheduled interviews in the afternoon. The Eagles started the day with a Play-4-Kay presentation.
After the 20-minute session, the three went through the 40-minute ESPN rotation of interviews and social. The first session was with ESPN talent and former UConn Husky, Rebecca Lobo. Lobo interviewed Coach Mac first followed by the two players. The following session had the players pose for glamour shots as well as show off some dance moves.
A more casual setting was up next when ESPN talent and former Georgia coach Andy Landers along with ESPN College Basketball analyst Debbie Antonelli sat down and interviewed Coach Mac, Guy and Bolden-Morris
The panel hosted by Christy Thomascutty from ESPN went live on the ACC Network Extra.
Guy and Bolden-Morris moved on to a Raycom photo shoot, while Coach Mac was interviewed about the upcoming season and her journey to Boston College. The final two sessions were Fox Sports South interviews followed by a light-hearted ACC Social interviews and photo shoot to end the day.
Boston College officially opened up on Sunday, as the team practiced at 9 a.m. The team worked out on Monday but Tuesday off with Coach Mac, Guy and Bolden-Morris at media day. The Eagles will be back on the court at Power Gym on Wednesday.
The season opener for Boston College is on Thursday, Nov. 8 at URI. The home opener is on Sunday, Nov. 11 as the Eagles host St. Peter's at 4 p.m.
BC will also hold the annual Field Trip Day against Holy Cross on Thursday, Nov. 15. The game is free to attend for all students K-through-8 and their chaperones. If you are a teacher interested in bringing your class or school, please contact Drew Read at readan@bc.edu or 617-552-0787.
