UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Boston College women's cross country team finished 16th with 405 points at the Penn State National Open on Friday morning at the Blue-White Golf Course.
Â
No. 19 Penn State won the team title with 62 points, followed by No. 14 Michigan State in second with 87 points. No. 26 Georgia Tech rounded out the top-three with 143 points. Penn State's Julia Paternain won the individual title with a time of 20:30.

Freshman Fian Sullivan Sweeney was the first Eagle across the line in the 6K event, finishing 59th overall with a time of 21:33, averaging a 5:47 mile.

Junior Paige Duca was the second BC runner to finish, coming in 64th with a time of 21:38, while senior Delia Hayes' time of 21:42 was good for 75th overall.

Freshman Anna Oeser finished fourth for BC in 21:45 while sophomore Kylee Raftis rounded out the Eagles' scored runners at 127th with a time of 22:14.

- Kayla Smith finished 144th in a time of 22:26, followed by Colleen Sliney in 165th with a time of 22:36.
