ACC Preseason Men's Cross Country Poll

The Atlantic Coast Conference released the preseason coaches’ poll and the Boston College men’s cross country team was voted 13th in the Atlantic Division by the league’s 15 head coaches
CHESNUT HILL, Mass. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released the preseason coaches' poll and the Boston College men's cross country team was voted 13th in the Atlantic Division by the league's 15 head coaches. Syracuse was selected as the preseason favorite to win the conference title.

Syracuse, which captured the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 ACC men's titles in its first four years as a conference member is the favorite in this year's poll. Virginia was voted second, followed by NC State, Virginia Tech and Florida State.

Out of the top five teams, Syracuse leads ACC teams in the men's poll with a No. 3 national ranking. Virginia is ranked 13th, followed by Virginia Tech at No. 26 and NC State at No. 28.

The Eagles finished their 2016 campaign with a 12th place finish at the ACC Championships as junior Sean Burke finished in 10th place overall with a time of 23:27.6 in the 8K.

The Eagles open the 2017 season on Friday, Sept. 1 with a dual meet against Harvard at the Chestnut Hill reservoir.
