ACC Releases 2017 Preseason Poll

Eagles land in 10th in ACC Poll
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team has been picked to finish 10th in the Atlantic Coast Conference Atlantic Division, according to a vote of the league's 14 head coaches.
The preseason poll has Florida State as the favorite to win the conference with eight first place votes, while North Carolina is at No. 2 with two first place votes. No. 3 Duke squeaked by No. 4 Virginia while Notre Dame landed in fifth place. Clemson and NC State were placed in the sixth and seventh spot, while Virginia Tech placed eighth and Wake Forest fell to the ninth spot.
Following BC, Miami is 11th, while Louisville placed 12th and Syracuse and Pittsburgh were voted to finish 13th and 14th, respectively.
The Eagles open the 2017 season on the road at the JMU Tournament in Harrisonburg, Virginia. BC will play James Madison on August 18 (7 p.m.) followed by a Sunday match vs. William and Mary (11:30 a.m.). The team will return to The Heights for the home opener on August 25 against Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. Fans remember all home regular season games are free.
