The field hockey team honor the 1997 Big East champions on Homecoming weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team will honor the 1997 Big East championship team at the Eagles' game against Louisville on Friday, Oct. 6. It marks the 20^th anniversary of one of BC's three conference tournament titles. It is also Boston College's Homecoming Weekend.

The Eagles will honor the 1997 team at halftime of the ACC contest at the Newton Campus Complex, which starts at 6 p.m. There will also be a post-game reception for all field hockey alumnae.

All former players and their families are also invited to a pregame tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 7 before the BC football team takes on Virginia Tech at Alumni Stadium. The 1997 team will be honored during the game.

To close out the weekend, the BC field hockey team hosts Harvard at 1 p.m.

The Eagles open the 2017 season on Friday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. with Quinnipiac at home.
