The Eagles welcome Lily to the team.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The women's soccer program welcomed its youngest member to the team on Wednesday night when 10-year-old Lily from Needham signed her National Letter of Intent at Conte Forum. This opportunity was made possible by Team Impact.
Family, friends and the BC women's soccer team, coaching staff, members from athletic community and Team Impact board members and staff members alike joined Lily as they laughed and smiled as the team presented her with her own locker and team jersey.
After the signing the team enjoyed a pizza party in honor of Lilly's 10th birthday, which she is celebrating today.
BC student-athletes – Holly Confalone, Erin Convery and Gaby Carreiro – stepped up in March to get the women's soccer team involved in Team Impact. That is when Lily was introduced and engrained into the women's soccer family.
Lily has shown hard work and determination as she deals with daily hurdles due to physical disabilities resulting from cerebral palsy. Despite this, she plays soccer. Through her drive and fight, Lily is an inspiration to all, especially the women's soccer team that will always have her back.
