Ever To Excel Awards
Women's basketball Director of Operations Chris Brann received the prestigious Mary Kaye Waldron Award on Monday, April 24 at the 39th Annual Ever To Excel Awards on the campus of Boston College.
The Mary Kaye Waldron Award is given to a faculty member, administrator, or employee who demonstrated a continual commitment to the ideals of Boston College with self-evident belief in the need to enhance student life in a positive manner.
Mary Kaye Waldron graduated in 1995 from Boston College. Shortly after graduation, Waldron lost her six year battle to cancer. While at BC, she was involved in the Salt and Light Company and the Jenk's Leadership Program. She was also a manager for the men's basketball team and became the first female to receive the Men's Basketball Power Award.
Brann received the award Monday night at the Ever to Excel Awards. He was accompanied by the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Boston College Erik Johnson, who nominated Brann for the prestigious award.
A Jacksonville native, Brann has been at Boston College for a total of eight years. His first stint at BC was with former Eagles Head Coach Cathy Inglese. Brann followed Johnson to work at Denver for two seasons. He returned to the Heights in 2011 when Johnson was named the head coach of the women's basketball team.
