Casey, Dair Named Eagles of the Week

Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Juniors Donovan Casey (baseball) and Asiya Dair (tennis) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.
Casey led all Boston College hitters in batting average (.467), slugging percentage (.533) and on-base percentage (.579) in four games last week. He led the weekend series at Duke with six hits while hitting .500 in the series win. He also picked up his second win on the mound against Harvard and earned the save in a 3-1 series-opening win against the Blue Devils.
Dair defeated No. 42 Rasheeda McAdoo of Georgia Tech in straight sets on Friday, 6-4, 6-2, in the No. 1 singles spot. It was her third-consecutive straight-set victory over a nationally ranked ACC opponent. She also recorded sweeps against individuals from Virginia Tech and Duke last weekend.
Baseball (12-21, 3-15 ACC) plays at Dartmouth on Tuesday and against Harvard on Wednesday in the Beanpot championship at Fenway Park. The Eagles host NC State for three games this weekend, including the 6th Annual ALS Awareness Game on Saturday at Fenway.
Women's tennis (9-11, 4-8 ACC) wraps up the regular season at Clemson and Wake Forest this weekend.
