Borr Wins ACC Player of the Week

Senior went 4-0 against BU, Syracuse

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Lexi Borr was named ACC Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Borr led Boston College to two key victories last week: Friday's 7-0 victory against crosstown rival Boston University and Sunday's 5-2 contest against Syracuse.

The Westfield, N.J., native went 4-0 in those matches. Against Syracuse, Borr posted a comeback victory in second singles against No. 107 Gabriela Knutson 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. Borr also defeated BU's Barbara Rodriguez 6-1, 6-1 in second singles. She and senior Emily Safron also won both their doubles matches last week.

Borr is 6-3 in singles this season, all from the second spot. She and Safron are 6-1 together in doubles.

The Eagles will next visit No. 41 Notre Dame on Friday at 4 p.m.
