Eagles take weekly honors after standout efforts last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior guard Jerome Robinson (men's basketball) and sophomore forward Caitrin Lonergan (women's hockey) have been named Nissan Eagles of the Week following their performances last week.

Robinson averaged 20.0 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game in the Eagles' 1-1 week. He was also 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. At Nebraska last Wednesday, Robinson scored 17 points while adding seven rebounds and four assists in a full 40 minutes. On Saturday at Hartford, he became the 42nd member of BC's 1,000-point club with her game-high 23 points in the win over the Hawks. In that game, he was 7-for-14 from the floor – including 3-for-6 from the 3-point line – in the Eagles' first true road win this year.

Lonergan picked up Hockey East Player of the Week honors for her nation-leading eight points last week as the second-ranked women's hockey team went 2-0-1. On Tuesday, she collected a career-high five points – including her second hat trick of the season – in BC's 7-3 win over Northeastern. Over the weekend, she added three assists, including the primary set-ups for BC's game-winning and insurance goals the Eagles' 4-2 win at Boston University.

Men's basketball (6-3) returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 9, when the team hosts No. 1 Duke to open ACC play this season. Tip-off is set for noon at Conte Forum and limited tickets are still available (Tickets). No. 2 women's hockey (13-1-3) returns to the ice on Friday, Dec. 8, when the Eagles host Merrimack in the front end of a home-and-home series. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. Â
