ACC Media Day Wrap Up

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore Taylor Ortlepp and head coach Erik Johnson attended ACC Women's Basketball Media Day on Thursday afternoon at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The ACC teams are separated into two groups. The Eagles worked through media contacts from Fox Sports South, print media, ESPN, Raycom and a other outlets with Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
The Eagles point guard started her media day experience with ESPN Gladiator shots then moved from room to room with Coach Johnson answering questions about the 2017-18 season outlook as well as the upcoming ACC competition.
This was Ortlepp's first ACC Media Day experience and it granted her the opportunity to meet the other ACC players and coaches off the court.
"I was nervous in the morning but as the day went on, I really enjoyed my experience,'' said the sophomore from Australia.
In other ACC news, the conference released the Coaches Poll as well as the Blue Ribbon Panel Preseason Poll and the Eagles were predicted to place last. The Blue Ribbon Panel also selected Duke's Lexie Brown as the projected Player of the Year. The ACC Coaches Poll selected Asia Durr of Louisville as the preseason ACC Player of the Year.
